MR. HENDERSON CHALLENGES MR. FISHER.

Fisher's suggestion in the Widnes by-electicn campaign that Mr. Arthur Henderson went behind the Government's back and j attempted tb negotiate with people whoso sole aim was to effect the Country's destruction, Mr. Henderson challenges Mr. Fisher to formulate a definite charge, to be settled in the Courts. : [The Widnes (Lancashire) seat is Vacant, owing to the elevation of the late member, Cotoel W. Hall Walker, to the Peerage. Colonel Walker was elected to the seat in 1900, as a Conservative, polling 4716 against the Liberal candidate's 2062. In 1906, he polled 5017, against the Liberal candidate's 4165. In 1910 he Was returned unopposed, and on resigning in 1916 was again returned unopposed. Standing as a Coalition Unionist at the elections Inst Deeettiber, he polled 11.515 votes,' against a Labour candidate (T. Williamson), who had 7821 votes.]
